Now, except for those of you who pray at the Alter of the Church of Spence you will agree their own interest are most paramount to Spence and Cox.

Now, let us discuss some other scenarios. How many of you think Spence will not throw Cox to the wolves at the first chance he gets? The only person who does not believe that is Steve Cox. Gilligan thinks the Skipper will never do anything to him. Cox is that delusional.

I am surprised Spence and Cox have not settled this lawsuit. Does Steve Cox really want his wife, grown children, and other family members to face an attorney asking them what they know about the case while bringing out hidden secrets like the “Friday Night” parties? Does Cox really want employees at Merryman/Cox, Rotary members, and clients pulled into answering questions about some of Mr. Cox’s activities? Naturally, the questions will give everyone information Cox does not want others to know.

Does Spence want his boss Curt Hagman giving depositions about what he knows of Mr. Spence’s remarks about gays/lesbians, racist remarks, and other comments. Does Spence want staff in Diamond Bar and Sacramento questioned? How about some of Mr. Spence’s political supporters around the country receiving notices related to having to give a deposition.

I can’t believe Mr. Spence will want to open up his records, public and private, of comments made, letters sent, and discussions occurring with people from Presidential candidates to his neighbors and members of his church. Also, let us not forget the request for financial information – donations, salaries, payments made/received, etc.

Now let’s picture the jury when this goes to trial. The jury will consists of many of the same people Spence and Cox have ridiculed over the years. Not only will the school district be on the hook for millions, but Spence will lose everything, and Merryman/Cox will become Merryman/Castillo.

Mike Spence only worries about himself and how will derive income from it. Mike Spence claims to know everything that is going on in politics, but continues to drive the Republican Party out of business.

When Mike Spence ran for the Water Board, he was beaten by a guy who is single and from what understand, lives in the basement of his mother’s house. People on the water board do not like the guy, big money goes up against him every election, only to lose again and again and again.

The only candidate to win an election with Spence support – Eileen Miranda Jimenez and he would say he was supporting her – the pro-abortion, pro-gay, pro-illegal immigrant member of the school board.

People who know Ian Jones are not happy at what happened to him. He should have listened to advice given to him not to trust Spence and stay out of the election this cycle. But, no, he blindly followed Spence and we see where that ended up. This is the guy who was telling everyone with Mike Spence arrogance that another candidate “was going down.” A candidate did go down in defeat – Ian Jones.

So, in typical Mike Spence fashion, Jones puts on his “anonymous” blog that it was the fault of a person who did not campaign or do anything in the election was the reason he lost. Again, no, Jones lost because people where more willing to vote for a person who did nothing during the campaign then vote for him!

What Ian Jones needs to do is get a job, move out of his parent’s home, stay away from Spence, and most importantly – grow up.

When confronted by these horrible remarks all three denied having any connection with the site or agreeing with the comments. They wanted to release a statement to the public saying how they felt the person making the comments was despicable. They went on to challenge other candidates to do the same.

Other candidates agreed with one provision – they must name the people running the site making the comment about a cancer survivor. That is when conversations broke down. Now, assuming, the trio had no connection to the site and knew nothing about it, what is the problem?

Ian Jones did step out and publish comments saying he was against this type of campaigning, had nothing to do with the comments, and wanted all candidates to stop this type of campaigning.

Steve Cox and Mike Spence “jumped on the bandwagon.” We all want to believe Ian Jones, Steve Cox, and Mike Spence and how they are against this type of campaigning. We will all publicly acknowledge the leadership they showed on the subject if they would answer just one question:

Why is the contact information for the site publishing the nasty comments Ian Jones’ home address 1031 S. Serenade, West Covina, CA?!?!?!

Cox did spend time attacking Ms. Castillo and her lawsuit, along with bloggers and others. Cox told the audience about the bloggers, emails, and websites. Cox talked a lot, but never denied the accuracy of the lawsuit and facts on the internet. COX NEVER DENIED THE ACCURACY OF THE CHARGES.

The other item Cox never discussed – how a report written in October 2011 cleared him and Spence of any wrong doing in August 2011. You have to wonder, just how many reports were written before they received the report they wanted?

One final question directed to Mr. Spence – Did Spence give reasons to the Tribune for firing the superintendent other then “unilaterally and without cause?”

Seems like this blog and other information coming to the attention of the public is making Cox crazy. It seems the numerous lies he has said over the years are beginning to come back to haunt him. The public is questioning him more and more.

As Cox makes these types of admissions, I wish I could be at the upcoming Castillo lawsuit depositions and Cox explains his many statements over the years that contradict other statements. Cox in his arrogance does not fully understand the position, from a personal standpoint, he faces.

Since I mentioned the Castillo lawsuit, it has been stated Mike Spence told the Tribune editorial board the reason he voted to fire Castillo – she lied to him. Now, Spence did not say when or what she lied about, but this completely contradicts previous public statements of “unilaterally and without cause” on the subject will give Castillo more ammunition. Spence does not care as he thinks the school district will cover all expenses.

Spence denies he has made comments about forcing superintendents to leave due to a hostile work place and other comments about Hispanics and gays. Spence does not remember that closed session comments against public policy or the law do not receive protection.

Cox and Spence – just keep running up off at the month, running up the legal tab, and liability for the people and themselves.

The latest mishap to occur, WCPD arrested a 33 year-old male teacher for having an “inappropriate” relationship with a 13 year-old girl at Walnut Grove Middle School. This, according to reports, started as early as May of this year.

In August of this year, the head of finance for the school district “without authorization” transferred $600,000 to San Jose Charter Academy to cover payroll. Turns out it was not to cover payroll, but to cover payments to Edison Learning in New York.

A high-ranking individual in the school district attempted to transfer staff around the district without authorization and in violation of employment contracts. This caused disruption in the school district and additional legal fees.

At one point this year, WCUSD was paying three superintendents, simultaneously. An issue arose during this time when the superintendent working did not come to the high school graduation. At first, it was thought an obscure part of state law may have made the graduation invalid. Again, time and money spent to determine, after the fact, if the school district followed the proper set of rules.

The above does not include the additional workers’ compensation cases for harassment and stress by some staff members costing the district, not only time, but money, along with having to pay for others to fill in for those employees.

The district is facing talent drain – many are looking for jobs in other districts to get out of WCUSD as it implodes. If not for it being so sad, Spence and Cox are running for re-election on the platform of making the school a model district. It was a model district which they are turning into a model of how not to run a district.

Let’s not forget Steve Cox and his over the top desires for the Superintendent which caused all of this to begin with!

For five years these types of mishaps did not occur in the school district, but with Spence and his disciples Cox and Jimenez have turned a model school district into a laughing stock. On top of all this, the head of finance told the school board that in less than 3 years they will be broke.

Who says you can’t go back in time? We are back in pre-2005.

The big question – will Steve Cox and Mike Spence show up to face the public? The Vegas line – NO, they do not have the courage. The only way they will show if they have the fix in regarding questions. Can you image Spence attempting to answer questions about the $34,000,000 gift to New York City. How about Spence answering questions about his attitude regarding the gay and lesbian community. Another question he may try to avoid relates to attitudes about Hispanics.

Steve Cox knows he is in the public’s crosshairs. The sexual harassment lawsuit will be a major topic and the termination of the prior superintendent, Ms. Castillo, may demand answers. People will be able to see how Cox handles pressure. I hope a paramedic unit is nearby.

On October 20 from 6 to 7 PM come out to ask the candidates questions. The fun will take place in the council chambers at the city hall in West Covina.

As a CPA, one would expect Steve Cox would understand the simple concept if you have two reports from the same system looking at the same period, they should have the same data. When that is not the case, you may well think there is a problem. Not according to Steve Cox. Cox wanted to prove to everyone the numbers balanced, footed, or were mathematically correct. Cox could not, would not, or will not understand that if the numbers are wrong it does not matter that they are mathematically correct. One board member stated to Cox – We all agree that 1 plus 1 equals 2, but the issue is should we be adding 3 plus 3?

While this was going on Steve Cox, as described to me, looked like nervous Chihuahua on meth.

Therefore, after all this takes place and no one would motion to accept the reports until questions were answered a compromise was floated – approve everything else, but the area of concern. The motion passed 5 to 0. Steve Cox agreed while arguing everyone was wrong. About an hour wasted by Cox and his inability to show any leadership and knowledge.

Even more amazing – Mike Spence refused to support Cox on anything that evening. Spence must be feeling the heat from the electorate and supporters. Steve Cox is the guy who bends over every time Spence tells him, but Spence will not return the favor. Kind of selfish, isn’t it?

The transfer of money back from San Jose Charter Academy to West Covina Unified was another item on the agenda. The head of fiscal services has come down with the Mike Spence Syndrome. When in a hole, stop digging, not continue. Well, the individual continues to dig. Trying to explain her actions, again, this time she admitted it was a transfer to a vendor, not a fund transfer. So, if you are vendor of WCUSD give the CFO a call and ask for some money – she will take care of you.

In order to transfer the money back into the correct account, authorization was required. This is a case of the CFO should have just transferred the money. The authorization now states this transfer is to correct the unauthorized transfer previously made in August. The CFO has now learned how you do not do a favor for Spence, Cox, or Jimenez – all three voted to include this line in the authorization going to other agencies. Talk about a career buster.

In my humble opinion, bad behavior is bad behavior. Spence finds it acceptable to say and do anything outside the bounds of human decency by calling it politics. Now, Spence will attack children, if he feels that it is politics. Spence has even made comments about dead member of the military, in the name of politics.

I must ask, why does anyone who claims to be a good Christian go after defenseless children and those who have died all in the name of politics. Spence, will even use the illness of others to try to gain a political advantage.

Just how low will Mike Spence go in the name of politics? I can imagine during the remainder of the election season we will find out how low he will go. Spence likes to run around as the rule maker who throws out the rules to get his way. Well, he has found his match.

The difference between Mike Spence and some others is the others do not have to lie. Just state the truth, the whole truth, and nothing else but the truth.

As others have said – you can run, but you can’t hide. Spence is getting exposed – the money trail, the hidden relationships, the travels, and things he never thought would see the light of day.
